The most accurate time (least amount of delay buffering) was found with the (free) Audioactive StreamPlay player from www.audioactive.com and with the (free) Winamp Lite player from www.winamp.com .
If buffering is minimized these can provide audio time with only a few seconds delay.
For details on configuring buffering in media players, go to http://tycho.usno.navy.mil/audiosetup.html
Because streaming audio is buffered, the audio time will be delayed (late) by up to 30 seconds from when it left the USNO Master Clock. You may be able to shorten the delay by setting buffering to 3 seconds in your media player.
