I do! Born and raised. I travel to other places and ALWAYS look forward to coming home to the islands. Especially having sticky rice!
Seriously, I belong here. Can't imagine living anywhere else. I know a ton of islanders left for a 'better' life on the continental United States. I respect their decisions as they had to do what was best for them. I can only imagine how much they miss Hawaii (I hope!). Makes me appreciate being able to continue to live here.
The islands (people, food, location, island life etc) are in my soul. I feel safe and peaceful here.
It's all good living in Hawaii.

I love it, i grew up there and I am moving back this summer after living on the mainland for the past 8 years. There is no place in the world like Hawaii. Living on the mainland made me appreciate Hawaii and the people there so much more. I wouldn't raise kids anywhere else!

Well it's a real long way from europe, but worth it.

Sublime Islands, all of them, and so distinct from one another.

Great place to visit and vacation, but not a great place to live, unless you are a native pacific islander.

me - absolutely! Been to Maui, Oahu and Kauai (three times). If I could, I would love to live on the North Shore, Oahu. I don't surf, but one of my best days ever was spent on Sunset Beach watching the triple crown of surfing championship. Love the beaches, the people, the music, the food, the weather... but especially the shade of blue of the ocean off Lanikai - I dream about that!

GREAT place to live--- I love it. I've lived in NJ, CA, CO, WA, FL--- and love HI the absolutely most!!!
Lots of "haoles" think there's a lot of prejudice--- It depends on where you live and how you act! I'm blonde and blue-eyed and I've never had a single problem here on the big Island, and neither have my kids. But I dress like the locals, don't drive a fancy car or act uptight and demanding, and try to be warm and friendly to everyone. People usually give back what you put out.
Nowhere is perfect--- but there is a lot of good to be found here.
