Why Is There A Starbucks in Every Corner in Manhattan?

For a very good reason:

Starbucks did a study and it seems that New Yorkers are very focused when going to work in the morning. Once they get off at their subway stop, they will only go in the direction of work, and if a business is not on the way, they will not stop at it. This means that if there is a Starbucks 30 feet to the north of their stop but they work south of their stop, they are highly unlikely to partonize it.

Solution: Saturate the walking routes!

Ok, whoever said Starbucks started in Manhattan could not have been more wrong. Starbucks started in Seattle, WA and the corporate headquarters is also in Seattle. The first Starbucks is located at the Pike's Place Market. Starbucks just released a new coffee called the Pike's Place Blend commemorating their first store. Know your facts!

In fact, London has more Starbucks than Manhattan. Manhattan is not the only place with a Starbucks on every corner, you think there are a lot there, try Seattle or San Francisco!

Next best thing to crack. Its legal and keeps you moving:-)

Because Manhattanites drink enough coffee to support them. Starbucks is a business hell bent on making money, and they have figured out what concentration of their stores is optimal for profitability. In some areas, this actually means more than one per city block.

Starbucks is firstly located in Manhattan. To add, Starbucks was founded and its headquarters is there.

For example.
- Tim Hortons (Toronto)
- Costco / Kirkland (Seattle, Portland)
- St-Hubert (Montreal)
