Because the USA was never a country ruled by its own monarchy, so no need for castles. Plus we live in a country that is fairly young. We have plenty of forts though. I think there are some people in recent years that have built their own homes that look like castles. |

There aren't many; apparently they ran out of moats at Lowes.
The carnegie library in Van Wert, Ohio, however, is a castle.
It's not the only one. There's one at 1202 W Wayne Street in Fort Wayne.
And there are many more. Disneyland has one. And see the link below. |

There is one castle in Vermont that I know of, Wilson Castle. There is also a castle in Whitehall, NY called Skene Manor. |

Do you live under a rock? The U.S. is a young country and never needed castles since they were built in the MIDDLE AGES.
Anyone that tells you that there is a castle in the U.S. is referring to some newly constructed replica. There was never a REAL castle used for protection. |

There are, there is one as you go into Lexington, Ky from the parkway. It has a long story behind it, but is is a castle for sure.
I am sure there are others, try google search for american castles.
