Because we paid attention in driver's training. If you can't read the license plate of the car you in front of you, then you are too close. If you think this is a zillion feet then you have a depth perception problem and shouldn't be on the road driving to begin with and certainly not behind me. |

I don't stop a zillion feet behind the person in front of me, I stop 2 zillion feet behind the person in front of me.....and that's because I'm educated and have a very nice car because of all this money I make. I leave this gap inbetween my car and the one in front of me because I can, and because I don't want to have to back up and then go around you when your car dies on you. And as for the people behind me....I could care less about where they are going and when they need to be there. If they are late, then that's there problem, and stop blaming others for your problems. |

I do understand what you mean. By the time they make it through the intersection the light turns red again. It is because they think the own the road or maybe they get the satisfaction that they get to go and not you. I love cutting infront of them if I can. |

I hate people who gas to take up that space. It's a waste of gas. Why don't you just let go of the brake and glide into it??
Plus people who brake to do the limit if they go over it by just a few miles. That's bloody annoying. And those two morons at the front of the pack who drive side-by-side and not let anyone pass! Those people need to be shot! Sometimes they're not even aware that they're doing it! WTF!?! |

truthfully depending on the driving laws in your state,, it's says in the driver's manual to allow two car lengths between you and the other car.. now does it make sense? not in all cases.. better safe than sorry |
