Yesterday I was in the city and I had to stop for gas. When I entered the gas station, three males where inside just hanging around. I asked, "Are you in line." And they said, "No" Okkkkkkkkk so why are they inside the gas station?

It was an uncomfortable feeling...

Well a couple of days ago it was awarded the most dangerous city in the US. Many years its on the F.B.I. list for most homicides. And the movies have always made it seem like all the hit men come from Detroit. I live in Michigan and know alot of people there like that image. I guess you can't like it one minute and complain about it the next. No mater how you slice it Detroit has alot of crime and can be pretty dangerous and if people didn't go the Lions or Tigers or Piston games the people in Detroit would be crying all the way to the poor house.

lets see, killings, drugs, gangs, need i say more. i know plenty of peeps from detroit considering i lived in grand rapids and went there all the time for concerts. it is a pretty nasty city but it has its nice neighborhoods.

just because nothing happened to you doesn't mean it is a safe area. i live in queens, not the safest area, and (knock on wood), nothing has happened to me. I also think eminem gave you guys a bad rep.

Detroiit is the most dangerous city in both the United States of America and the State of Michigan. The city government is careless and corrupt and they do not care about the residents they serve. The education system is falling apart with a high dropout rate and you have teachers who are only concern about getting paid and not concerned about their student grades.

When I was very young, my mom moved us from Detroit because of the violence. I still have other family members there. But I don't know if I would visit.

Why do you say it's "sooo nice there"?
It's rundown, dirty,and has a horrible crime rate. The people are generally nicer than most people assume, but most of the guys are really full of themselves for some reason.

They have good shows, but most of the time the bands aren't worth the drive down there because I don't want my car there at night. I know a few people who have gotten their car stolen while they were there.
I like downtown detroit, but that's about it.
