Okay, while those are reasons not to take your kids to Vegas, there are many things for kids to do in Vegas, and there are many things that are aimed at entertaining children. If you love Las Vegas and want to go every year, what kind of parent would you be if you left your children at home for every vacation you went on? We just returned from our trip to Vegas last week, and we took the kids along with us and I think they had a better time than we did. Our itinerary was jam-packed with only activities that were appropriate for our kids and we managed great! Everyone has their opinion, but you should never look down on someone who takes their kids to Vegas. |

I lived there for 9 years, and unfortunately 2 of my daughters lived through their teenage years there (those are the two that got into trouble with drugs and babies). We finally left before my oldest grandson started kindergarten, 7 years ago.
Honestly, there is not much for kids to do. The parks leave a lot to be desired- it's usually too hot to enjoy them and they end up filling up with "undesirables" using the BBQs and peeing in the bushes (and worse- Much worse!)
On the strip, you could take them to the arcades and on the roller coaster at NY NY, but that's about it. Sorry, but a trip to LV is best done without the kids. |

90% or more of the entertainment there is aimed at adults. Children are not allowed on the gambling room floors without their parents. |

because there are men on every single corner of the street handing out cards with names and phone numbers of hookers on them. and there are lots of drunk people walking around. |

I think because it's mostly about gambling, drinking show girls, scantily dressed women, and like the first answer, people handing out porn trading cards.
Also it is so crowded in a lot of places, I'd be afraid of losing them in the crowd. If you go to Circus Circus and stay there the whole time, you might be okay. |

Because it is a sinful city.....Not a place for innocent children. |

Any place you can drink, gamble, see strippers - openly, 24/7 - is not a kid oriented place. Have you been there? It's like an adult Disneyworld. |

Well, when people think of Las Vegas, they normally think of casinos and showgirls. However, I guess there are some kid-friendly places in Las Vegas. I guess parents could always take their kids to see Siegfried and Roy!:) |

Hello.........because it is not!
This is a 24 hour town which caters to gamblers, drinkers, provocative dress attire and and a "let your hair down" mentality.
Since children are not allowed to loiter in a casino ....where can a parent place them if they want to partake in the Vegas experience?
Children and Vegas is a very poor fit! |

A place (State) where prostitution and gambling is legal is no place to take kid for a vacation. |

Because there is no church, temple or mosque!!!Neither any activities for children. In fact, children should be kept away from this city. Otherwise they will come home with undesirable knowledge of adult life. |
