Why does it rarely rain in Los Angeles, California? |
I like sunny days and all, but the weather here is just being a total bore. I mean it's fall! It's supposed to be cold and cloudy and stuff. It feels like summer, if not, spring everyday! |

Well, if you really want to know WHY it rarely rains here, it's because the ocean temperatures, water currents and atmospheric air flow keeps high-pressure systems just off the coast of Southern California.
These high-pressure systems, which move clockwise and out from the center, push sub-tropical weather systems "up and over" Southern California, keeping us dry most of the time. This is generally the prevailing pattern.
And, yes, I wish it would rain here more often. |
