Sorry guys but its only Americans that see the USA as number 1. Dont believe your own hype. The USA is a great place to spend a vacation but just about everyone i know that has been there says it is the last place on earth they would want to live. Dump the gun and the attitude and be No 1

i don,t know because although there are good in every country , you never really get to hear much about the good things , just the sad and mad , i don,t know why it would be considered number one ,when any country really has its positives and negatives ,

America is looked at as Number 1 because it is an economic juggernaut and one of the world's strongest military powers.

um.......newsflash - but it is only AMERICANS who view America as Number One. To many people outside of America - it is PUBLIC ENEMY Number One.
Don't get me wrong - I've been to America a number of times and encountered fantastic experiences there - and I'll be back as I enjoyed it so much. HOWEVER, I think that American people can have a very skewed view of how they are perceived by people from other countries. I don't know why American people think they are "Number One" - certainly no person I've met (and I've travelled over fifty countries) has ever said they think America is number one. In fact, the main opinion about America is that they should get the hell out of countries that don't belong to them. I guess though, people are always bias towards the country they were born in, or live in. Now, because this is an American website, I bet I'll get fifty thousand "thumbs down" - just because I have an opinion that doesn't conform with the American people's idea that they are Number One. America might regain some respect in the eyes of the rest of the world when that bumbling idiot that runs the place is outed.

Because at one time the US was #1. I think that is slipping in the world view right now. But, when someone has a disaster or needs help, who do they call, the US. Where are the Americans? I have read that so many times in the news. They spit on us, curse us, burn our flag, burn our President in effigy, hate and despise us, but when they need help or want some money, they come to us. Doesn't make sense to me.

actually i think the usa is the world police. but did you notice that when that big hurricane hit Louisiana Mexico sent an entire rescue military and after that then the USA started helping even actors actresses started helping but it first took a country that is less fortunate than us

We back what we say in times of war or threats of war. We go around the world to help other countries when they have "super powers" that are abusing them. We are a charitable nation and send donations monetary and in the form of food (and others) all over the world.
