There is nothing special about Dallas. No Times Square or walk of fame nothing to give it a hook. Scenic beauty does not exist there is not enough great architecture to make a decent tour. The Texas pride thing is ridiculous these people have been brainwashed.

Dallas is not crappy. New Orleans is.

why is dallas so crappy? I live there? It's a lot better than some places like LA...people there are all fake and prissy.

LoneStarLipper
Dallas isn't a crappy city at all. I mean for one thing it isnt Austin which automatically makes it awesome. Dallas rules, but Ft. Worth is better though by far.

I'm no Dallas fan, living in Houston, but it certainly isn't a crappy city. What's your beef? This is an awfully generic statement. Would you care to augment it with either reasons or some facts?

broken windows
dallas isn't that bad of a city in fact, one of the suburbs of dallas has a great school district while i admit i'd like to go some where else it isn't so bad.

Krista B
What's the point in providing reasons that it's crappy, when you've already made up your mind that it is....

Deni
Dallas is alot less crappy than many other large cities. Crappy and large cities go hand in hand.

Pollution, lack of public transportation, everyone there is pretty much classless and tacky. Dallas has no trees. George W. Bush freeways.

Dallas isn't a crappy city. I live here and I've lived here all my life. It's a lot better than alot of other cities. I mean, sure, downtown is a little dirty with a close-up look, but what downtown isn't. At least the skyl;ine is pretty from far away. And as for the rest of Dallas, it's not crappy at all. There are PARTS of Dallas that are crappy, like Oak Cliff and Pleasant Grove, but we can't let little places like that give the entire city a bad rep.

add some details please... why? I've seen worse in other cities. and for the person who said something about oak cliff and pleasant grove being crappy, has either never been to those neighborhoods and/or don't live within the dallas city limits. You may hear bad things happening in those areas on the news but there are some nice neighborhoods in those areas.

I live near there and I think it's a pretty good city. A heck of a lot better than the so called 'cities' I go to school near in Virginia. I will admit, however, that there is a lack of public transportation from the suburbs, which for me makes it more difficult to get there, plus there's the thing that you don't want to walk outside in the middle of the summer, but that can be true anywhere. But I have to disagree with you for the most part.

I've lived in Dallas and Houston and it's true that Dallas is the pretty sister but Houston is ugly with more personality. I prefer the pretty though.

go avs!
It's in Texas!
