If the person taking your ticket thinks he might be older than 10 they might ask your nephew a few questions, like how old are you, when is your birthday, and such.
You can use a child's ticket, but if you do, do not let your nephew know that you are being dishonest. Because you do not want your nephew to grow up and think that he can cheat throughout school and life, just because he can 'get away with it.'
Have fun! |

The only thing you may run into is a cast member asking him his age, so if your going to do it you might have to teach him it is OK to lie if you save money. Is this something you really want to do to save a few bucks? |

i don't think so |

i think it would be okay as long as he is not standing right up at the counter but im not sure because it is disney id suggest buying your tickets in advanced in like a gift shop its really worth not waiting and you can get them cheeaper some places too |

Nope. I'm going to pay for my child as a child until she's 13 or 14 LOL
What kind of proof do they think they are going to get? There drivers license.
Disney is pretty much based on the honesty system. You can leave your purse on the stroller go on a ride and come back it will still be there. |

How can you show proof of age on anyone who doesn't have a drivers license? Who carries their birth certificate around? |
|

Yeah, like Jennie B says, start teaching your kind how to lie early, cause that is going to pay off in spades for you down the road.
Good parenting! |

there is no way that you could show proof of his age unless they ask you to bring his birth certificate... which they aren't gonna do so your fine. |

Same thing here with us in January. They just ask for your age. Just tell your nephew pretend that he is 9 for the vacation. |
|

Indiana Jones
|
no they won't. my niece is 9 but she could pass for like 11 cuz she is tall and already kinda developing and they didn't ask us anything. besides you won't be bringing his birth certificate and he is too young for an id card. they aren't gonna bother you. they don't even see your ticket anyway you put it in a machine yourself and then put you finger on this spot and it lets you in they only way a person does it is if for some reason its not working for you. and the most they could do is ask you how old he is and ask him how old he is. he should be smart enough now that you can tell him whats going on and say if anybody at disney world asks how old he is tell him to say 9.
if you are staying at a disney hotel they will ask how old he is and they will ask him how old he is they did that to my niece. just tell him to say he is 9. and if your worried he won't remember remind him when you are going to check in at the hotel and when ever you are going to enter a park. |

no, you'll be fine |

Yes he can probally pass if he just turned 10 bbut if he does ask tell your nepheew to (example if he was born 1997 tell him to tell the guy to say 1998) TADA |
|

shoredude2
|
No, but they do have a way of subtly tricking a child about his age. So if you're going to do it, make sure the child knows that he was born in 1999 not 1998. |

That's a small amount of money to pay opposed to teaching your nephew that it's ok to lie. You say it's a lot cheaper, but at the most it's going to cost $40. That's certainly not a lot of money when you are talking about an important life lesson is it?
Are you going to instruct him to lie, too, when they ask how old he is or when he was born? The next time he gets in trouble for lying are you going to say it's ok for grown-ups to lie but not children?
This is just a bad idea - morally wrong and teaches a terrible message to your nephew. Not to mention it's incredibly unfair to all the honest people who pay for their kids. |

how could they?
he's too young to have ID on him |

no one did on us. i would do it. they wont care. |

you really should be fine, I know my parents did that years and years ago with me I think I was 9 for three years! Plus with hotel rates, its cheaper if your like 16 or 17 so when I was 18-20 I was still 16! Now that I'm 24 it's a bit harder to pull it off! |
|

Dave
 |
i remember my parents passing me as 9 when i was 10 or 11 but that was a few years ago, like 5, so i don't know now. But i can't imagine disney could check everyone so i think you'd probably be good. I really think they should do it by height rather than age.... |
|

Gwen H
|
my mom used to do that to us when we were little and she got away with it. U can't prove he is not nine. If he looks it i am sure u can get away with it |
|

Sue R
 |
They definitely wouldn't but just use the self-service kiosk and avoid the hassle. I got back from Disney yesterday and my husband and I went to magic kingdom, picked the # of days, # of people, whether we wanted park hopper, etc. and just slid our credit card. No people interaction! |
|

kareinone36

We have been to disney and they have never asked for proof of age so I would guess that you would be safe with the under ten ticket. Just make sure the child says he is 9 if he is asked. |
|

DolphinLuvr
|
No, they won't ID him. As long as you say that he is 9, he will probably pass for it because not all 10 year olds have IDs and most of the employees don't really care. You just has to convincingly say it. |
|

Alvaro R
 |
I dont think so if he looks like 9 years old then they wont ask u its not their business to know how old is he if he looks like a 9 year old child. When they tell u how old is he and when they ask u whats his birth year then tell just tell them a little lie tell them if he was born in 98 or 99 they will let him through without giving any proof.
Good luck |

you'll be fine. Even better, when your there, say it's his birthday and get a pin that says, "it's my birthday!" from the main office. He'll get tons of free stuff. It's a lot more fun when you say it's your birthday. When it was my birthday there, I got free passes and food, and they let you on rides sooner. |
