Is it worth it? Only you can judge that. It is very expensive to go. We went when my daughter was 6 and her brother 11. She loved the Magic Kingdom, but was just as happy at the pool with her Dad.

Don't plan on her going all day long. The parks are an overload of stimuli. It will be very hot too. Kids can only last so long.

How will get a chance to ride the rides???? You will wait in line with everyone else. We have gone twice in June. Yes it is crowded, but we still got on all the rides.

yes...i went when i was seven t paris and 14 to florida and most of rides i was able to go on ...it all depends on her height ...go on there website and find out what the height restrictions are ...that might help ......but other than that its great ,you will have a fab time....

check it your childs height is ok here

of course i been there 6 times and its never boring
a website u can try of disney tips is www.allearsnet.com

Indiana Jones
of course she will have fun.
of course its worth it. disney world is a magical place.
your 5yr old will be able to go on nearly ALL of the rides.
there aren't many rides that have a height requirement. the ones that do are:
space mountain: 44 inches
splash mountain: 40 inches
thunder mountain: 40 inches
stitch's great escape: 40 inches
tower of terror: 40 inches
test track: 40 inches
mission space: 44 inches
soarin: 40 inches
expedition everest: 44 inches
dinosaur: 40 inches
star tours: 40 inches
rock n roller coaster starring aerosmith: 48 inches.

i'm pretty she your daughter is 44 inches tall or maybe a little taller. so the only ride in all of disney world that she wouldn't be able to ride is "rock n roller coaster"
so if you want to go on that ride you simply use the parent swap. just walk up to the entrance and tell the cast member that you'd like to do the parent swap and they will assist you. one of the parents waits in line while the other parent and your daughter wait at the end of the ride and when the parent gets off the ride the other parent does not have to wait in line and just gets on the ride.
you can also take advantage of parent swap for a ride that your daughter just doesn't want to go on.

We carried my Daughter for her first trip at 5. She's now 19 and going again this year! She will love it - Mom will be exhausted! If there is a ride that you want to experience that she can't disney will do a line transfer, where you and your husband/family get in line and they ride - one is allowed to come back to you and take the child so you can now ride without having to start the line all over again.
Have fun.

All kids love Disney World, Use rider swap, IF the 5 year old doesnt want to ride, ask the front line Cast Member for a Rider Swap Pass, this allows half the party to wait in line, while the other half entertains the 5 year old. When they get off the ride, they hand it to you, and you get to ride by skipping the line, usually through the exit. Its a great system.

Absolutely! I'm 15 and I STILL love Disney World! It's worth it - be sure to use fast pass on the lines for rides that you really want to ride (it's free!). It will be crowded at that time, but if you get a guide book and take one of their paths, you should be able to hit the rides at the right time. :]

She will love Disney World. I recommend the Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom as two parks children love. If you have your tickets for the parks, once you enter the park you can use tickets to fast pass rides. This will save on time. The usual waiting time to fast pass the ride is less than one hour. My wife, and I love Disney.

yes, yes and there will be some rides she can't go on, but plenty that she can. Be sure to pack a swimsuit for the "splash park" sections of some of the parks.

Lots of great tips for going to the parks with kids at this site.
