I visited Florida 15 years ago and was on the Gulf of Mexico Coast. It did have some truly beautiful beaches and scenery. There was a large English population in Naples. You will find many shops of all sorts as Florida is a tourist state. From junky trinkets to high end designers. I myself am in a small town in Washington state, because I don't like big cities, crowds, traffic, crime etc. I'm into camping, horses, fishing etc. You will find almost anything you want to in the States. Big city, small town. Culture or us hillbillies! lol. It is a very diverse country from one end to the other. |

America's great. I love it here!
I think you should live somewhere in Florida or California. Florida has really nice nature and beaches, and so does California. However, California is very expensive to live in.
I like Hall Piano and other music shops. Wal-Mart is pretty good, too.
I live in New Orleans, Louisiana. |

I live in the midwest, and I think you'll have a better time in Florida. *g* Just be aware of one thing -- it's a gorgeous place to live, but they have huge insects there. If you're at all squeamish, watch out for palmetto bugs.
And the occasional hurricane. |

Well. Illinois is pretty good. We have very good security and safe homes. We have good schools and not bad gas prices. We have stores like Rue21, Avenue, Shoe Locker, Hollister, Abercrombie, Zoomies (or Zoonies), Pac Sun, Journey, and some punk, hip hop, goth and emo, and like Libby Lu. And CLaires. And all of that kind of stuff. Good restaurants are Benihana (a restaurant where they cook on a stove attached on to the table. ), Chili's, Yard House, and many many many many more. You would like to move to Mt. Prospect or Prospect Heights. |

Pretty dull compared to Europe. No history, boring architecture, everything is miles away from each other. Plus it's full of obese people who think the US is the centre of the universe. |

CALIFORNIA, by far!
California has it all...from Northern to Southern CA.
Beautilul Parks, Mountians, Forrests, Deserts, Beaches or Snow...AND..."NO HUMIDITY".....take your pick.
The tempatures are from Mid to High 80's in Summer(Some 90's too) to 55/70 in Jan, Feb. & March.
I like a Smalltown feeling, I live in Laguna Beach, CA, (a 'bit' Pricey) on the Pacific Coastal shoreline. Mountians & Beaches and it's called the California Rivera. Many compare the Landscape to European (French & Italian Riviera)
We have Great Shops here lots of Souvinere shopping 2 Harbors..Dana Point & Newport Beach, Yacht clubs and the Big Malls are about 15 min. away, Inland. We're 1.5 hrs. South from Los Angeles and 1.5 hrs. North from Mexico. We're about 6/7 hrs. drive (1hr. Filght) to San Francisco.
While Florida is nice also (warmer winters) it's "FLATTER THAN A PANCAKE & HUMID in the Summers".
TRY California, I'm sure you'll LOVE IT! |

Well it's according to what you are looking for. Nightlife? Warm all year round? Countryside, city, small town? Are you into the Ballet or Baseball or both? Beaches or Mountains?
The US is so huge you can usually find what your looking for. |

I live in Florida. Miami is great! Lots of partys on palm Beach and stuff. Aventura is a very nice place to live, very organized and homey. Answsering your questiong about shops, there is lincoln road. Its very exciting to live in Miami. The aventura Mall is awesome , lots of shops. Miami is not like people say, no facelifts or botox or anything, just kinda like a miniature L.A. |

Oh yeah for you!!! florida is fun if you live near Orlando!! (thats where disney world is) but depending on where you live, you could just be stuck with a bunch of old people. it seams that a lot of old retired people live in Florida. i don't know why....America can be really fun, as long as you live near a big city. live out in the rural areas, and you'll find yourself in a hard crunch finding things to pass the time by...I live in houston Texas, and my graNDPARENTS LIVE IN FLORIDA. its cool. good luck. |
