i think most of the people that have tried this died on impact, they are traveling so fast that the surface tension of the water actually kills like hitting concrete, So I'd rather be alive and poor than dead and rich. |

No, of course not.
First, a million dollars is no longer considered an astronomical sum of money. Many houses in the SF Bay Area cost half that.
Second, if I wanted to commit suicide, that wouldn't be my choice.
Third, there have been a number of suicides from the Golden Gate Bridge over the years, but I've heard not one of those people has jumped from the side of the bridge that's away from the city. (This third item has nothing to do with your question, but I thought it was interesting -- people taking one last look at the city as they go.) |
