Would it possible to live at Disney World? |
LOL me and my friends were joking around cuz we want to live together after we graduate High School, and one of my friends goes, "Let's live at Disney World!" and I go, "Um, I don't think thats possible."
And then she goes, "We could move from resort to resort every 2 weeks to make it unovious."
Would that work lol |

As long as you have money, they'll keep your room. They don't care as long as they're getting paid. So yeah, you could stay anywhere you liked, for as long as you liked, as long as you had the cash. Or you could move around to resorts. Either way, it works. |

You can do the college program and live in the dorms right outside of Disney, its still technically disney property (as is most of Lake Buena Vista). Its right on 535. Or there are plenty of affordable apartment options all around the park area. I had friends who lived close by since we all worked at WDW. I lived closer to Universal, but still only 20 minutes away.
The park is not open to employees after it closes, maintenance and cleaning goes on after hours. |

I can't find the thread in the forums right now, but I read about a guy who is working at building up enough dvc points to be able to rent a DVC villa for 12 months when he retires. In the mean time, he sell off his excess points each year to pay for the DVC membership.
I think you would really have to like being around masses of humanity to do this, though. What is fun for a week or two might get old after 12 months! |

Once I win the lottery, that's where I'm going. I'm sure it costs a pretty penny to stay at the hotel for more than a week. :]] Lol |

Yes, they do have the college internship program. But it is not as good as it sounds. There are about 4 to an apartment from all around the world. You work very hard and the money you make pays for your room and board. Technically you are working for free. It is a good experience though and you meet different nationalities. The park is open to its employees after hours, so you can enjoy all |

well theres the college internship but there is also a place that is right in there that is totally disneyfied that's called 'celebration town' where people actually live. it's right there basically beside it but i cant even imagine what the costs are
....or something along the lines of that, one of my customers trick or treated there! |

Actually, the park IS NOT open to employees after hours. The college program housing is not right on property, it is quite a bit away. There are some great apartments that are just a few steps from property that would be an option! |

I remember when I was a CP (on the college program) there was a rumor going around MGM Studios about the fired CP who lived in the Fantasmic break room. Basically, they slept on the couch there and ate food from the vendor stalls.

In a way you can live near DIsney in Celebration FL which is a community designed by Disney. It is at the other end of the Magic Kingdom and currently where I live. I call it Hellebration cant wait to move in the spring

You can stay at the resorts for as long as you like, I think that the Campground rents for up to a month at a time. I hope you guys make good money though to want to live in the hotels. The cheapest hotel will cost you $82 a night ($574/week). during the value season. As long as you are paying Disney could care less how long you are there.
It would be a fun place to live, but I would get too sick of all the tourists every day, day in and day out. |
