I Live in Florida Was Born in Connecticut and have lived in Maine.
I Love The US and would not want to live in any of the areas you asked about. I would rather be living in a small town in Connecticut again. Florida is too humid and too much crime and BUGS!!! |

All those suck but through the process of elimination I'd go with Texas.
California - can't deal with west coast
New York - too many people too close, i need room without bumping into people ever 2nd
Chicago - too close to where i used to live
Washington DC - OUTRAGEOUS traffic
Texas was all that was left. I've been there. It was great. Can also get a big house for not a whole lot of money. Great churches are there too. |

This is a bit of a convoluted question because you have some cities and some states. California has probably the most diverse living situations--cities, rural areas, mountains, deserts, ocean, snow, extreme heat, etc.
And it depends on what you're looking for in a state or city--is weather important, job outlook, culture, cost of living??? For instance, even though houses are a lot cheaper in Texas (vs. San Diego, where I currently live) I don't think I could ever live in Texas, or most of the south for that matter, because I consider myself quite liberal. On the other hand, while Chicago is a cool city, with both national league and american league baseball teams, lots of excellent food and defined cultural areas of the city, I grew up in MN and do not ever want to go back to a really cold climate.
So.....I guess it depends on what your needs are. |
