I'd rather live in NY....not necessarily NYC but definitely somewhere in New York. I like the change of seasons and the fast paced environment. |

As far as what is available that a person can purchase, would be NY, Fl for the weather. |

NYC in a heartbeat. I grew up in Central Florida and I hated it. I was desperate to leave. I now live in DC, and I will deal with the cold and the occasional snow--at least I don't have six months of 90-degree weather and streets full of chain restaurants. |

Florida if your brain dead or are a football fan NY if you like art, music, food, fashion or just need to be in the mix. My brother in law nailed Florida - a state that washes away every time it rains. |

Spent my whole life in NYC until 2002 and then moved to South Florida. Hated the cold(but miss the city at Christmas) and the traffic but have to say down here is not really my cup of tea either. If these are my only 2 choices, I'm staying in Florida because I really hate the cold-but probably going to be looking elsewhere down the road. |

I'd take New York. I love Florida, but don't think I could live somewhere where it's warm year round |

florida....what better than to have beaches and sun. Way more opportunities to be in a bathing suit than up north. |

I'd personally take Florida, only because I've already experienced life in New York, and prefer a warmer, more leisurely lifestyle at this point in my life. When I lived in New York, I couldn't really enjoy all the things I did there as a visitor, because I had to work so much in order to be able to afford my expensive apartment!
It's not that one is better than the other really, just another experience to add on to your collection. I feel that the more experiences we can have in life, the fuller and more meaningful it becomes. |

Well it really depends on what part of Florida !! I love St Pete's Beach in Florida, it's a fab place. I'd live here and fly up to New York for the weekends, lol !! |

Florida. It is cheaper than NYC. It may depend upon where in Florida you live. It's pretty diverse. |

i have never been to new york but i would love to go there one day when i get the chance. but i can't agree with you about florida, if i could live anywhere in the usa, it would have to be destin florida or somewhere near it. it's my home away from home, my family and i want to move there ehen my husband finishes his RN school, the only set back is, we have land here in louisiana, and we could easily build on it, if we move to florida, we would have to spend more money than we probably could afford to get land and build, or we would have to settle for a house different than what we dream of, so the future is not completely clear yet, do we stay and build, or go to our dream state and settle for smaller house and less money? |

Florida! :) weather is beautiful--lovely beaches, Disneyworld is right there, and it's not too far from the place I love the most--NC! :) Also, Florida seems more laid back...and I love that... but I'm sure if you loved NY and lived there that long, Florida is a huge adjustment-- but that's b/c you grew to love that environment--unlike a previous poster said, it doesn't mean you're stupid or fake if you like one over the other hahaha.. if I said NY, I would be being fake :-P |
