Would you ever move out of your city?

Even if you had no reason to. Just to get away from what your accustomed to. Start fresh. I'm not talking moving to the city next door, but a real move across the country or even to another country. Even if you dont know what its like or have never been there. Venture out! Have you? Will you?

I have and I will again. We stay too long in our comfort zones, never taking any chances. Sometimes the chances turn out poorly, but it is our experience in life that makes us well rounded - good or bad. To stay in one place and experience all the same things isn't living to me.

I am so ready to move to a different state. To start fresh i have every reason to move to get a new start. I was really wanted to move to canada. I am trying to get information on how to become a canadian citizen.

Yeah, I am actually planning on doing that in the next yr. I have grown up in the same town my whole life in NJ (about 20 minutes from NYC).

My plan is to move out to Denver, Co and just start over. I don't know anyone out there and my whole family is mainly on the east coast.....but I want to try it. I figure I might as well see what it is like...even for a yr or two...if I hate it I can move back....but at least it will be a cool experience seeing another part of the country.

I moved 40 miles west of Chicago back in 1984, and every time I go back there, I really miss it. But I have adapted to where I am now and don't think I could ever move back there.
I would only move far away for the right woman, and or job.

Yes.
I did that a year ago today. But I would move back out again if I could.

say what
I did just that and haven't looked back since! I lived in the same city for my entire life, and after graduating college, I packed up and moved from the US to Japan. I've been here for about 14 months, and really love it. I just visited Taipei though, and loved it there too, so I am seriously contemplating moving there next summer!

Why would someone want to stay in the same city forever? There's so much out there!!

I moved states about 20 mths ago; for a new start for my family. Before that I had moved cities but only 3 hours apart. It's had it's ups and downs as much as any other move. I'd never been to this city before hand, and I'd been to the state only twice. I knew 4 people up here so I was lucky (my 2 sister-in -laws & 2 nephews).

I don't regret it even though we have only seen my family twice since. :)

Yes, I think about that everyday. I am going to do a major move. I want to move to Canada. I am kind of scare to move there, since it's only going to be me. But like you mention, I want to start fresh. Change up my surrounding. I figure you only have one life to live, so why not do what you want. I have no fear to change my life. I am ready for a change. I can only live for me and no one esle. I have no reason to leave either, but i feel I must leave. Something just keep telling me to explore the world. So I am going to listen to that little voice and go. I have family and friends here, but I have to do what I have to do.
Best wishes LT

Did it

One Saturday someone I really trusted phoned and invited me to leave London and join him in Mannheim Germany. He guaranteed me a decent job.

At that time I spoke no German at all, It's still limited today.

I drove across on the Sunday, he had arranged temporary accommodation for me and I started work on Monday morning.

It was one of the best decisions I ever made

Stayed there over a year. It gave me the confidence to "Get up and Go" I "Got up and went"

I've lived in Pittsburgh, Orlando, Virginia Beach, Jacksonville, Chicago, and Philadelphia. I'd have no problem relocating.
