absolutly ! ive done that many times...however dasoline das driven many prices up up up.. but in the passed rooms in sai gon/ha noi can be had for $15 us, nha trang, hoi an, hue, da lat $10 and less, sa pa $4. a motor bike driver around town $7-10 a day... food, good food and plenty; $3 a meal w/ a beer or 2... street food is next to nothing,"bia hoi" [ street beer ] was about .20 a glass. sleeping car on a train i dont remember exactly but i think you can go from nha trang to da nang for about $20.. a plane from sai gon to ha noi WAS under $100...last year $40 a day would have been more than enough..this year ???? and oh yeah 3 months will take you into "TET"..the prices of everthing go up as you close in on the luner new year....i know one thing for sure evey vietnamese i know lives on less than $40 a week!..
... anyway with you good looks all the ladies will be wanting to take you back for some free home cooking... well it might not be exactly free.. but it will be worth it..... |

if you aren't going to play rich then 40 is good enough. it might varied because you might not have enough people around to party so you might end up wasting 10 dollars for beer and 10 for food, and 20 left over. It will varied =) |
