About Hue, Vietnam? |
Anybody here have been to Hue, Vietnam? I will be there next month, I accepted a job in a hotel spa department, it will be my first managerial position. what can you say about Hue? is it a safe place? did I made the right decision?i am coming from Qatar, and I resigned from my job to accept a job in Hue which will pay me with the same salary.Thanks in advance. I'm a filipino guy, by the way. |

hue is a popular tourist destination. the phillipines and vietnam share a lot of similarities like things are not systematic and less efficient, less infrastructure, sub standard qualities in most matters, laid back culture. you will easily adapt to it.
hue is a popular tourist destination. it is a beautiful and safe place to be but it is not as busy as ho chi minh or hanoi. you may get bored after a while. but of course you can travel around vietnam during your free time.
fyi, i covered the whole qatar within 3 weeks coz it is so small. apart from doha, the rest are quite boring. things are not efficient chaotic in qatar too. so you can adapt to hue easily too.
with the salary you are getting in qatar, i think you will be able to save a lot since the cost of living in vietnam is far much cheaper than qatar.
i think you will like hue and also vietnam is closer to home for you. |

I don't know your life in Manila and can not compare for you the difderence. But Hue is nice for European expats whom I know till now. The only one issue what you will face is the weather. It is too hot in dry season and super cold in winter. |
