As regards clothing travel light and have plenty of room in your luggage to bring clothing back . The quality is pretty good over there and so much cheaper than what you are used to . If you go into Hoi An you can get things made to measure within a day , and the tailoring is excellent even Japanese Silk . I also found the local art is pretty good in places like Hoi An and Hue , just walk round the galleries and you will find some amazing stuff .

I'm in Vietnam right now. Obviously bring your normal set of warm weather clothes (shorts, shirts, sandals, swimsuit, sunglasses). You should also make sure to bring some pants and lighter long sleeve tops. It sometimes get a little colder depending on the time of year. There's also a rainy season, so double check you don't go that time of year. Vietnam requires a visa from most countries, so look into that. Make sure to get all vaccinations and bring some meds just in case (immodium, tylenol pm, antibiotics). Bring a international ac adapter if you wanna charge any electronics. Don't forget your passport. Think that's it. Nha Trang is beautiful if you haven't chosen where to go :)

If thereâ€™s no direct flight to Vietnam, the best way is taking a flight to Bangkok or Hong Kong and gets a connecting flight on arrival. You can either stay there several days for leisure (recommended for shopping) before flight to Vietnam. As they are two greatest hubs of Southeast Asia (many flights daily), you can depart at flexible time and have significant savings on ticket prices.
