I've been to Cambodia four times. Well i'm still here.. but no there's really no problems with landmines in Cambodia. Normally the areas with landmines have been blocked off with signs and several have been removed.

Landmines are a risk, full stop.

They should be signposted in Cambodia, as long as you stick to safe trails and paths you shouldn't run in to too much trouble but the best thing you can do is check with a reputable local guide before you set off on any journey off the beaten track.

i seem to remember hearing about a tourist setting off a mine in one of those places about a year ago.. generally tourist are told[ and not permitted] not to wander out of tourist areas.. in lao i believe any and all fields a jungles and rural ares are suspect to mines and bombs.. at the rate they are clearing mines in lao there will dangerous areas for the next 50years... stay on the sidewalk!!!

most areas that had high probability of containing land mines have already been cordoned off, marked off limits to tourist...

only stupid tourists that refuses to obey rules and signs will be of much danger!!
