Are there non-pirated CDs in Vietnam? |
Hii~ We are going to stay in Ho Chi Minh City for a while and I would like to purchase some Korean CDs. (artists like TVXQ!, Super Junior, SHINee, Big Bang, and/or Epik High) However, I want to get the real CDs, not bootlegged copies. Do you know if they have real merchandises there at all or is it all just pirated???

Sorry, Vietnam does NOT have the "most" pirated CDs.
That distinction is co-owned by China and Thailand...but we do have a lot of them for sure.
If you want the real deal, you have to go to department stores and look for them. They're a LOT higher priced.
Best yet, download a copy of Bit Torrent and start downloading the entire CD for free...that's what everyone does nowadays. |

.. pirated CD's are all over the world. but if u dont want to buy those Cd's you may buy to department stores and other leading branches and malls with original copies of CDs..
even though im here in phils. i can say that you should buy CD's in malls. then take look of the front page of the cd if its has a sticker. |

I found that most of it is pirated but of course they have authentic outlets there. Those that are pirated are exceedingly cheap and often poorly presented so you shouldnt have trouble knowing what is the real deal, however if you intend on buying full priced CD's by korean artists it is unlikely that vietnam will present better opportunites than shopping at home or online would. The effort required to find them will outweigh the modest savings.. [unless you buy pirated]. Order the CD's online & enjoy the crazy cheap shopping there. |

Unfortunately, Vietnam has the most pirated CD's.
I think the only way you can get them is probably online (Korean sites that sell real CD's and DVD's).
I haven't been to Ho Chi Minh City in a while, and most things have probably changed. So, try checking the stores where they sell clothes that have 'real' brands.
