Things are much cheaper in Viet Nam, one of the cheapest countries in Asia. As far finding something that isn't counterfeit? It would be very hard to do that! |

Yes, everything is cheaper. Because of their living wage is about zero. |

1sr off i would never buy electronics out of my home country... if they were to fail in 2 months what recourse would you have.. esspecially if your product turned out to be a "knock off"... cost; some electonics like cameras are more expensive in vn they they are in the usa.. i think they may have a large import tax..not sure.. i got a real nice buy on a cr player there but i kept it there [ in vn]... you have to consider the electric.. in us products are made for "ac" current. vn i believe is "dc".. i dont know what austrailia is... if you must get a real knoweledge of prices in your country.. then shop around in vn...better yet skip "nintendo" go get a soccer ball and play outside..better for your health, happiness, and the enviornment. |

What you pay is what you get.
Do not buy electronic devices in VN because:
1.Bad qualification.
2.Different Voltage. VN uses 220V, I believe Australia use 240V..
Most Vietnamese still like to purchase electronic devices from US or Western countries, because their products have higher than qualification.
Some people above said counterfeits are cheap. It is absolutely right. |

Unfortunately, most things like this are now expensive in Vietnam because they are really catering for the tourists now. If you find one amazingly cheap, then you can be sure it is counterfeit. |

1 US dollar equals to 16,000 Vietnamese dollar and electronics there are made from cheap parts. A friend of mine brought a camera in vietnam but it didn't work but brought the same camera back in the US and it worked. It's better to buy a DS in Australia then Vietnam. |

I doubt they sell DS's in Vietnam, real ones anyways. I trust you not to buy one in Vietnam, it might be fake and break easily. |

in Asian countries except for Japan watch out for cheap rip-offs of the DS. I'm not sure if they sell DS in Vietnam even though they sell medications cheap. |

Do not buy a Nintendo DS in Vietnam. They are not the real thing, but they look real. |
