Can Vietnamese people visit USA? if yes, how long can they stay in the USA?

In order to visit (visitors visa) the U.S. you first must have someone in the U.S. to sponsor you. This person must show they are financially capable of supporting the person wanting to visit. The Vietnamese person must also put up collateral, as an assurance of their return to Viet Nam. If they do not return, the Vietnamese government keeps the collateral. This is usually a substantial amount of money, and even with it, most people are refused a visa.

The Vietnamese government makes it hard for people to visit the U.S., if they didn't, they'd already be here.

I went to the US last April, so I think it's not too hard for a Vietnamese to visit there. The only way to get a US visa is to apply for one at the US Embassy or Consulate (Ha Noi and HCMC).

The length that one can stay in the US depends on the type of Visa he or she applied. However, the US Border officer at the US border can decide it due to his purpose in the US.

If you go to the US for business or a meetting (with travel), you can stay for at least 3 months. If you are to visit your relatives, the maximum period is 6 months.

A tourist visa for Vietnamese people is multiple, that means, we can visit the US for 365 days since the visa is issued. But the length of staying each time depends on the US border officers.

A foreigner must leave the US before his available time expires, or he or she will be refused in the next applications.

Of course vietnamese people can stay in the USA. But in about 3-6months if they go for travelling and business
