Hi.., I am a student in French, I went to Vietnam a month ago. I think that If you have time you can go from Hanoi to HCM city. Hanoi,(special city) capital city with old towns, museum, and imperial architecture,a very city busy in Northern in Vietnam,but less crowded and active than Saigon Best known are Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum and Museum,"36 old roads", Ho Guom Lake....If you stay here (in the old quarter). Hello, I am a teacher in England . I went to Vietnam a year ago! I think that you should go to Hanoi city with "36 old roads" very very special. Also, there some Agency tourist... From here you can make tours to visit: Halong bay, Sapa....and more. They will help you ! Don't worry!!!

HCM city is like the richest place in vietnam and most people that came back from united states or out of their country stay there . but i still think Da Lat is a very cool place [coldest place in vietnam, u should no vietnam is super hot]

If you have a month, thats heaps of time to see plenty of Vietnam! I would go to the following places:

HCMC
Mekong Dalta
Dalat
Nha Trang
Hoi An
Hue
Hanoi
Halong Bay
if there's time - Sapa

Travel generally in Vietnam is quite easy. You can get cheap tours to the Mekong, Bus to Dalat (then Nha Trang) and for the rest bus/train up to Hanoi.

If you go to Sapa, just get the train.

Hi, if I am you ,I will visit Sapa, mountain Fansipan, Ha long Bay..... You are a month you should make tour from Northern to Southern . There are many many places nice .. for you.
