Who wants to know

Do you miss Vietnam?

I still remember those days when I was in highschool in Dalat. The city was so quiet and beautiful. The people were nice and I never heard or seen any violence. I felt safe walking to school or to the stores after school. 6 days a week in school from Monday to Saturday. It wasn't too hard. The only day off was Sunday. I guess that taught me to be discipline and have work ethics thanks to my parents and teachers.

Summer
Even during the war when soldiers had access of guns, you would never heard of any murders or people using guns to rob anyone. No severe illness like cancer, obesity etc... Life was simple but people were happier. Family was orderly. Children have respect for parents, teachers and society. It's not upside down like we see it here. I do miss that a lot. The longer I live abroad, the more I appreciate and proud to be Vietnamese.

Ah, you are from Dalat. I visited there in February. what a beautiful place. We had 2 high school girls come over and practice their English on us. They were so friendly & welcomed us to their country.

Yah. I feel kind of the same way too. In Vietnam, I felt safer and more at home than where I am now. I still miss the way that things were run, from Monday to Saturday. The courses were easier than the one here, I believe. I lived in HCM, but I think that it is basically the same, no? I have visited Dalat before and it is a very nice place to live. I would have been glad and happy to have grown up there like you. Thanks for sharing your opinions. :D
