You can always go to an electronics store in a mall in Da Nang or Ha Noi to find memory cards. If you want a little more of a shopping adventure, Ha Noi has an area in the Hoan Kiem District with dozens and dozens of electronic vendors. Also, about two blocks South of Hoan Kiem Lake is what I call "Electronics Street" where there are dozens of electronics stores.
In my opinion, the best electronic store in all of Vietnam is Nguyen King in Ben Thanh District, HCMC. It's a four story electronics store that will put any Circuit City or best Buy to shame.
Personally, I'm very leery about buying electronics in Vietnam. The quality is low even for new stuff. If you're looking for cheap electronics, you're probably going to pick up stuff that's broken or defective.

There are many vending shops in the city, I would recocommend saigon, aka ho chi minh city. There are many shops there that will offer you good deals, and still have quality. Under most circumstances, the shop would would be a mobile phone, electronic, or even kiosk looking type shops. You can always ask vendors of these type of shops of where you might be able to go and find what you're looking for if they don't carry it. I dont really recomend going to the markets unless you are familiar enough with he product to tell whether if its legit. If you're more into market like shopping I would reccomend a city like Nha Trang. They're locations are about 8 hours apart so locating a vendor would depend on where you are staying. |

Don't know about Hoi An, but in Ha Noi the first stops should be on Ly Nam Day - computer street. Regretably I don't have my map of Ha Noi, so I can't check the spelling, but if you can find the old French water tower, the street is about 100 meters away - and it runs back towards Dien Bien Phu. |
