A friend of mine is going to Vietnam and he carries OC (aka pepper spray) on him it is legal to carry in checked baggage on airlines but is it legal to carry in Vietnam?...
There are no direct flights from Mexico, but if you shop around either on the Internet or in travel agents you can get some really good deals to come to Vietnam and if the travel agent is good they can set you up with some cheap accommodation, but personally I would just get a flight and get a hotel for yourself on arrival, there are plenty to find starting from 5$ per night (and they are not too bad a place to stay for that price) going up to 250$ per night

no dirrect flts to tp ho chi minh[sai gon] or ha noi. best bet is to go through seoul korea..[korean air line] fast convienient, safe[nobody is crazy enough to mess with south korea[ except maybe north korea?!?]and the least expensive.oh yeah , about $1300us round trip .
