I don’t know where a good gym is in District 1 HCMC, but I can tell you that District 1 is one of the best places in the world to work out and stay in shape.
If I were you, I would try doing what the Viets do for excercise. My wife used to do Jazzercise in the morning and afternoon in the park across from Ben Thanh Market. There are people walking, jazzercising, playing badminton or doing something physical all the time in that park or the park in front of the Reunification Palace.
If you want to lose 10 lbs in less than an hour, try walking across the streets in District 1 a few dozen times. You will be guaranteed a near death experience that will scare all the cr@p out of you.
