Electronics are about the same or actually a little more expensive in Vietnam than in America. Also, the quality of electronics in America is much better than in Vietnam, eventhough it was probably made China or Vietnam. The quality difference is so great that there is a big market for American products in Vietnam. I make a few extra bucks in Vietnam by selling some of my electronic equipment there before I leave.

Asian electronics use 220 VAC. If you buy something over there, you will need to get a power supply for it over here.

Don't expect to get great deals on electronics in Vietnam. However, you could find some very good deals if you go to Hong Kong or Singapore.

The Ipod nanos that are on sale in Vietnam are more expensive than the one sold in the US. I know this because I have looked for Ipod nanos in Vietnam, and trust me, they cost more. They are about $100 or so US dollars more than the ones here..

i heard electronics in vn are alot more expensive than the us. my friend said the apple iphone over there is $1600usd and they dont even have it, you would have to order it and wait for it. here in the us it is $599-$900, so you should stick to buying it in the us~!
