When you agree to buy,you agree a price per square meter,and in a vast majority of cases you agree the price in gold,example 1 tael of gold per square meter and you are buying 50 sq meter you agree to pay 50 tael's.The thing is from the time you agree to the time you get the red book[deed's] can be a few months,the seller is hoping and as happens in most cases the price of gold rises,therefore making more money,its very rare that the buyer wins as the gold price rarely falls.I personally will have nothing to do with it and insist on VND.
Off the top of my head 1 tael of gold is 1.1 ounce and valued at about 14 mill VND,but dont quote me on this as im not sure,if you need acurate info let me know.
