If you are looking for a cheap place to stay in Ho Chi Minh, stay in the backpack district. It is about a 15 minute walk to city centre, and about 5 minutes by motocycle. There are numerous hotels, and guest houses there, with easy access to western style food, internet, and English speaking people. As soon as you stay in a hotel of any sort your prices go up. I just don't think it is worth it. |

Please ask for "the Tay Balo" area if you want to find some cheap hotel in center of HCMC. This area is located at center of HCMC but not so expensive, a lot of foreigner travellers like this area. You can ask "honda om" guys they will lead you to this area, it's quick and cheap. |
