yup, traffic in Vietnam is much worse than America and any other developed country.
The distance from Saigon to Danang is about 1000kms (by road). Bus/car usually have a speed of 60=>70 kms/hr in average on highway. so it may take 16 hours to get there.
On the other hand, it may take much longer if you travel by train. Speed of train is usually at 45=>55 kms/hr in average in Vietnam.
This is such a tiring journey!!! I really never tried to do this! Good luck...
