Only familuar with Emeraude. Very good reviews. We only have been twice and only did day trips there. Nice day out and great food too. cheers.

If you have the budget, and are a creature of comfort, then the Emeraude will be a wiser choice. The Emeraude will take you back to the 1920s as you enjoy an evening under the starry skies of Halong Bay on the deck this refurnished French ferry. Besides, they serve you great food ;)

It's a beautiful place!! We ended up doing a tour on a boat with a poor family of a wife, husband, brother and 2 small kids so wasn't exactly comfortable but it was a brilliant experience to meet these people and see how they live....It was far from luxury though! But there is brilliant kayaking and snorkeling to be had and it's so tropical with little white sandy coves, stunning cliff edges etc
