Hanoi Accommodation: I want some hotels for not more than 60 USD per night? |
Not more than 60 UDS. Better would be something in the area of 50 USD. BUT: want to be somewhere where the action is, nightlife, shopping, so I guess in the city center. Where shoud I stay? |

You may call me if you are in Hanoi. I'm living here. But I'm not going to give you handphone number here in public. Just email me first: nguyenthanhtungtinbk@yahoo.com
Hanoi is small like Singapore, and very crowded, so it's very easy for you from the Hotel to go anywhere you want.
Everything here is so cheap, so dont worry to get over here. Just pay me a little and I can guide you from beginning to the end, he he :D |

you should pay in the $15 - $20 range for a nice room in the west lake district. These are usually 3 story walk up, but neat and clean. The taxi drivers will assist you in finding accommodation that suits your needs and budget. They get a commission, but that is just how it works.
The people are very accommodating, friendly and helpful. And Hanoi is a great city. Enjoy the trip. |

Where ever you stay it will be easy and cheap to get home so you don't need to worry about being in the center of it all. I stayed in the old district and every night this guy i met and I would go to the beer alleys. There is a nice Italian resturant called Little Italy in the old district. Go there in the evening and when you leave the little alleys near by will have home brewed beer! It was the best. We would get drunk on those little chairs for about 2 us dollars every night. Check it out! |

I recommend you to stay in Government Guest House 37 Hung Vuong Street. You will be secured 24 hours and also receive good service. You can get a room that opens a view over Ho Chi Minh president Palace with only US$35? Sounds great huh? The only inconvenient thing is that it is not close to the heart of the city. |
