It depends on what you like, and what you want to do.

The people are nice, and wherever you go you will find people! If you go to Ha Noi, check out Sapa, Ha Long Bay, and all kinds of historic and cultural sites that exist pretty much everywhere.
If you are in the central part of the country, Hue, Hoi An, Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park are interesting.
A bit further south you have the beach towns of Nha Trang and Mui Ne.
Ho Chi Minh City, aka Saigon, is the next stop headed south. The Delta has some interesting opportunities.
If you are interested in a quiet place, check out Phu Quoc off the southern coast.
Limber up your google skills, there is lots to do in VN.

I went to Vietnam last year and it was the most fun vacation i've ever been too.you should definitely go to Vietnam.Some fun places that i went to is Nha Trang it has such a nice beach and it always have warm weather.Hue is a place if you like quiet but its also fun and also go to Ho Chi Minh(Saigon) they have so much stuff to do there.
