Yes, what a beautiful country, I guess you have to be a real traveler or adventurer, down to earth type to appreciate the beauty of it. Most of my memory remind me of sadness. I feel so sad and it was the history part of it, those stupid evil cruel leaders and their brainless team try to have the piece of land...later on they all failed but lots of damage remain. Look through their old people's eyes and feel it, that is the true beauty of the mother land...the courage, the survival and the rich soul of Pho.

yeah i went there this summer. it's really hot over there! haha it was a great experience though. i went to ho chi minh city. you guys drive all over the place! haha i think i saw 10 accidents in the 2 weeks that i was there. i was glad to see that vietnam is modernizing though. it was way better than 5 years ago.

im vietnamese and i been to vietnam twice. i think its a nice country. alot of poverty and its not that clean. but there are great places there to visit. and everybody there rides a motorbike!

I was just there a few weeks ago. I visited Halong bay and Hanoi. Hanoi was quite chaotic to me. I think the government is trying to sell to the foreigner that all the cripple and handicap people were due to the war with America. Overall vietnam people are nice.

Carl, you were not even born when I was there, but that was under very difficult circumstances. 1967, in the Mekong Delta, I was on River assault boats. But that is all in the past now. I would like to see photos of your home now to see what a difference 40 years makes. A Vietnam Veteran
