for a tourist unquestionably distric 1 is where to stay. whether it's a "flash" hotel like the caravel or rex or one of the many small but clean /safe minnies in the Pham Ngu Lao/ De Tham streets... just ask any cabbi at the airport to take you there [$4 - $5 A CAB !] you'll feel right at home in no time at all . all the info you need about where to shop eat and party will be right at your finger tips in the form of hotel desk info, travel shops, xich lo and raxi drivers, and of course other travelers... trust me , dont panic .. viet nam is VERY easy. |
