Absolutely plane from sai gon to seim reip[angkor] cheap ,easy,& most importantly when time is more valuable than money, fast ! 3-4 from hotel to hotel

If you have time to kill, take the bus,and it's a lot cheaper. (8 -10hrs.) If you want to go places fast, I suggested you fly (appx. 1hr)

Forget about taking a bus non-stop to Angkor. It will kill you in time and being uncomfortable by sitting so long. You need to break the journey if you take the bus.

By bus to Phnom Penh is from $8 - $14. About 6 - 8 hours including the ridiculous amount of time you spend crossing the border. It's then a further 6 hours to Angkor by bus.

There are also boat rides up the river to take you there from Phnom Penh, but I do not know the price.

I have not done the trip back via Dalat, but am told the bus from Angkor to Dalat is a good journey. Dalat is about 3 - 4 hours from HCMC.

The plane is cheap, but expensive if you compare it to the cheap bus fare. Plane departures from HCMC are notoriously delayed. From leaving your hotel to stepping on the plane can be a few hours when planes are behind schedule.
