How did TopGear get to drive Motorbikes in Vietnam? |
Basically because I thought you required a Vietnamese drivers license to drive in Vietnam. And International Licenses are not accepted.
So how did they do it? Did Jezza, Hammond and May have to get themselves Vietnamese licenses?

HI They had a coach that does the same thing , it call a cafe bus and it has beds for you to sleep , it costs @ $45 to go from the north to the south and stops at all the places they stoped

when we were in na trang we were offered a trip with moter bike and guide , guess you can get that in all cites

I don't know how they did it cause in vietnam you need to be a citizen to drive on Vietnamese land and in north vietnam they took a driving test. |

Didn't see the program you're refering too but it is possible to get a driving licence in Vietnam. They don't recognize International driving licences and you can't get a licence on a tourist visa. Or, so they say. When I got my car/motorbike licence 6 year ago I had to go for a medical that included a dental check. It cost me 750'000 dong at the Le Loi hospital in Vung tau. A Vietnamese friend who had the same medical at the same time was charged 25'000 dong. I'll let you do the math. Problem is if you don't have a licence and you have an accident your insurance company will reject any claim. Like they do if you get Asian flu,(considered an epidemic) and the Bird flu (considered a pandemic.). |

To drive in Vietnam your basic requirement is knowing where the fuel goes , it being on TV things change . Best to always have your own insurance though sorted in UK or US just in case of accidents .
Live in US now so i have no seen that episode .
