Everything is good , cheap for staying and booking tours. you can stay at normal hotel with price is 8$ or 30$ as well.
To KP : this is the rule of custom in Vietnam, you can't say : you must do this or that, becasue you are tourism, you should respect and do in right way,you should respect other country's law. what they have told you,? if have any problemt, who can bear responsibility ? is that you? no.
about they asked you for some DVD as well, some case, the tourist brought alot of bad DVD like ; sex, dvd for propaganda reactionary against their country, they must do
you don't compare betweent US and Vietnam, not appropriate................have fun..........

Not long enough!!!! I have just completed 4 years, my 3rd time in country, and each time has been better than the previous.

Without a doubt, that which draws me most are the people I have met! I have some very good friends here, people that mean a lot to me!

There is a very rich and ancient history and culture. The food is great! It is a very pretty place, with some notable exceptions.

The weather in Ha Noi suxs big time! High humidity, often coupled with high temperatures, or with low temperatures - not nice! But Ha Noi is an interesting place and I do like it! Corruption is a problem, a serious problem - but that problems is cropping up everywhere - not just VN. And interestingly, politically VN is starting to loosen up, while certain "bastions of democracy" appear headed down the fascist road!

Come if you get an opportunity to do so.

Almost every 3 years. Everything is interesting. Dissatisfaction??? Only one thing: I had to pay off the custom officer at the check out passport and luggages. I didn't pay first, they kept me waiting for 2 hours. On the way I went back to America, they kept my bags and ask for money because I carried Vietnamese CD music.
Keep in mind: those dirty custom officers make 100 time more than doctors in VN in one single day. I love Vietnam, but not those worms custom officers to suck blood of their own people for their greed.
Recommend: everything is fun in VN, find out your self.

Hi, We travel to Vn almost every summer and spend a month. We spend most of our time around Hue enjoying the ancient surroundings, great food and friendly people.

I also travel to HaNoi and visit there for a week every summer too. So much to see and do that you can't see it all. The Bia Hoi Gardens in HaNoi are a great place to eat, drink and watch the world go by.

This June we are going to go to Phu Quoc Island for a few days at the beginning of our holiday before we go to Hue. Since we haven't been there is should be nice for a change.

I really can't think of anything that I am unsatisfied with Vn. Beautiful people, great food and fantastic scenery. Hope you enjoy it there as much as we do.
