In Vietnam you can have as many children as you want to.

Good question.

you can have as many that you like. my aunt have 16 kids so you can have as many that you would like. on ONE condition, you have to have alot of money alot, is like over here people can have like 20 kids and still wants more. if they are rich enough to raise all of those kids

no limited. Young couples seem very concern about having a lot of children now.

The govt policy is two children, and it may still have an impact on your career if you are a govt employee.

I have not heard of any official sanctions against non-govt workers who decide to have more than 2 children.

Before, the civil employee only could have two children or they would be fired. Now, there is no limit! You can have as many as you wish

I believe that the posters whom are insisting on a two child limit for married couples are confusing Vietnam for China. From what I understand, China still has government/societal pressure to limit family size.
My wife is the oldest of her siblings, all were born after the "American" war. She has 5 brothers and sisters. We have two children now and she has informed me that we will have two more. Oh,,, the things I must do for love. lol
The Viet government gets a bad rep on these pages sometimes. It is undeserved in this case. There is no limit on having children in Vietnam if you can afford to support them. Even if you can't support a child, they are usually taken in by the extended family, as is the case of my "nephew". He is currently living with his Aunt and Uncle but will probably be adopted by me and my wife.
The Viet people (and government) LOVE children.

all i know is that a couple can only have two children or else there would be some trouble/conflict at their workplace. for example, they might not get promotions or they might even be demoted(i think thats the word...)
but im not sure if that is still the case. the last time i heard about this was like 4,5 years ago. times do change...

all of answers are wrong, in Vietnam, last time you can have many child if you like, but now, you have 2 children only, if you have 2 girls, you can have 1 more time for give birth, maximum 3. If you have 1 girl and 1 boy, you can't have baby more
If you still want to give birth, you have to pay claims fine.if you are officer, you will get disciplined : or resign your job, or reduce to a lower rank.
