How much would it cost me to live a lazy lifestyle in vietnam by a beach for 3 months?

Beach living can be really inexpensive and depends, primarily, on which beach you have in mind. There are many beach's in Vietnam that are off the beaten track. You can stay in these places for next to nothing so 5 or 10 bucks a day is easy. However; If you want to be in an area where there are people to play with its going to cost a bit more. I would recommend Hoa's at China Beach, Just outside of Danang. For 20 bucks a day you can live well with fun people. You are close to Hoi An and its great restaurants and nightlife. Danang is 20 minutes away and you are centrally located for going north or south. In short You can get by on $1500 for the 3 months but $3000 would add some cushion and fun to your lazy lifestyle. Of course you can spend much more if you have a mind to. There are $1000 a night hotels here as well.

Have fun!

..less than $30 a day..

wellmaintained
you can stay in a good budget hotel with aircon and fridge for $10 a day easily if long term. food and drinks depends on what your desires are, but ive stayed in nga trang for $20 a day inc hotel, food, and drinks

That is largely dependent on what you want out of life. If you want Western companions, air conditioning, electricity and familiar foods then it is going to cost you more than going native.

There are places on the beach in Vietnam which are a simple hammock slung under a palm frond roof. These are free but you are expected to buy one meal a day from the owner of the hammock and roof. Facilities are very basic and you may get by on 5 US Dollars a day and still have a bit of change.

If you want beer, Western food then twenty dollars up and up and up
