How to Locate a missing family in Vietnam?

My Vietnamese mother put me up for adoption, and thus I was whisked away to the US separated from a family I never would get to know about..

Real question has anyone else found their siblings after the Vietnam War ?

I would love to meet my Mother, and my brother.. or if I have sisters ?

i have in the past found americans here for vietnamese there but never the other way around.. if you have any info ,complete names, address[town village].. photos.. get me something and i will give it a shot next time i go back..
..i have seen on tv ,mini documentaries of viets living in the usa going back and finding their roots....give it a try , but you gotta have some specific info for any chance at all...

As Ong Jon has pointed out, you will need the names, approximate ages and the village, town or province of your missing family. I live in Ben Tre, If your family is from around here, email me the info and I will ask around.
If you were adopted from an orphanage, they would most certainly have a record of it. You could try to contact them thru Telephone Directory Service in Viet nam.
Another option is to hire a private investigator in Viet Nam. You can do a google search for office phone numbers.
I'm sure your family misses you very much. They did what they felt was best for you by giving you a chance at a better life:-)
Good Luck!

i think the most important thing you should do is to find out any info of you in the past from your current parents as many as possible. You can speak Vietnamese or someone else who can do this? if yes, i advice you the best advisor, pls try this link: http://www.haylentieng.vn/ and the title is "Nhu chua he co cuoc chia ly - like there has ever had no seperation"
this web site is about a program which help people to find out there lost relatives from the war. many people have found thier beloved relatives thanks to this program. Try to contact them! thanks to this program (just started in 2 years) 95 people like you have succeded in finding thier relatives! I am not so powerful to admit anything but im sure one thing that your relatives are here and they are real. Just find a good way to communicate with them. Hope this help!

In case, you do not know vietnamese or any vietnamese else, i can help you in translating.
