God, I'm jealous. I was just in Vietnam 2 months ago for the first time in 10 years. I loved everything about it. The trash, the people, the toilet paperless bathrooms. I would give anything to be back there.

There are two things holding me back from going to Vietnam right away. First - the wife and I have strict orders from her mom not to come back to Ha Noi without grandchildren. Second - I'm currently president of the local Rotary Club, which impedes on any extensive out of country traveling until my term is over.
My Mom and Dad are planning to go pretty soon, and they will be staying at our house in Saigon for most of the stay. There's a decent chance that my wife and I will go if the parents don't. I remember you were about three days ahead of me when we were in Vietnam last year. Perhaps we can better schedule our itineraries this next time and actually see each other while we're in-country.
Make sure you hook up with Chuck Searcy when you get there. He's spending a lot of time in Quang Tri lately with Project RENEW. You're going to find that to be a very interesting project when you see it. They're helping a lot of families and kids there.
