I heard McCain was provided with "female company" while in Vietnam. Is this true?

When?

Are you referring to the time he was held captive in Hoa Lo prison (Hanoi Hilton)? Then the answer would depend on if you regarded a nurse / doctor keeping him alive as "female company".

Are you referring to the other times that he came over here to help with the repatriation of MIA's?

If so, the answer would be "definitely not". The Vietnamese government officially frowns on such acts and describes it as a "social evil". Secondly, McCain would not be DUMB enough to put himself in such a potentially embarrassing situation, especially as the Western press followed him everywhere he went.

So, the answer is "no, he was not "provided" with female company."

Now on the other hand, if he managed to procure a chicken on his own, that might be a different story, but everyone I know (who WOULD know) said McCain didn't indulge.

How close is McCain and Bush...depends on how Bush is doing in the polls...same as any other political relationship.

I'm an Independent and while I think McCain would be better for those of us who live and work in Vietnam, I think Obama would be better for the US at this moment.

@lzzy_cool: I thought of the same thing. I also think McCain would be better for Vietnam, but I think Obama would be better for the US at this moment. But whoever win, it doesn't matter, we will still want to have close relationship with the US, especially on business.

I saw a documentary about this lady telling a story that she where she lived lots of women wanted to help with the war, but they were actually used. The soldiers were either stressed or scared and to relax, they were provided "female company". She said that they were all held against their will, and if any of them got pregnant, they were forced to abort. :/

I wouldn't be surprised. God knows it was miserable over there and if "female company" helped those soldiers experience a little pleasure, then I see nothing wrong with it.
