There is no zip code in HCMC. I believe zip codes are only used in America. (although I may be wrong about that last part)

Only a couple countries in the worlds have them.. US, Canada, England.. EUROPE countries ie. France, German...
Vietnam's mainly have city, district, wards, province.....

At Vietnam there is no zip code. My mother told me that people just write everything except that vietnam is small and they usually know everyone.

Vietnam has no zip code. When filling forms, some people list wrongly 00848 as area code for Ho Chi Minh City. This is how they understand:

00: for dialing an international phone / fax number using traditional dialing

84: country code for Vietnam

8: area code for Ho Chi Minh City
