I have a house in District 7 of HCMC. There is no postal code for District 7, HCMC or anyplace in Vietnam for that matter. Postal codes are a United States and Canada thing by the way.
To send mail or parcel to Vietnam, you need to address it as follows:
Recipient's Name
House number & Street
District
City, Vietnam
You can write it in English, but it is always best to write it in Vietnamese. Surprisingly, the postal service in Saigon is pretty good at getting mail to the proper recipient even with screwed up information.
If you ever get to visit District 7, there is a very good pizza joint a couple blocks off the main street.
