I visitng Vietnam, any advice n recommendations?

be flexable in your plans, always have a "plan B". things will not always go as you want or expect but often falling back on alternative plans turns out better than the original. be an adventurer in viet nam , not a tourest. be causious but not afraid. stay 2-3 days in each place you go maybe more in nha trang. and from those places take side trips, such as from sai gon visit the "dealta" area, from ha noi go see ha long bay, in hoi an /da nang see marble mt amd my son. enjoi the night life but get up early 4-5am once or twice and expeirience "real life" in viet nam stop into a tracel office in every town you go to to see whats available in that area, get yourself a "lonely planet guide" book, talk w/ other travelers you'll meet along the way.. i've gotten my best information from tourests. there is just so much i can tell you.. check out other questions/answers in this catagory[ just click on "discover"or click on to "worldmartha"'s avatar and check out all the questions shes asked about this]]... take the overnight train at least once[ get a sleeping car w/ a window] and the plane when you can , busses are cheap but your time is more valuble.

Vietname is one of places you tourists wish to make it there. There are two most cities for tourism parts which are the capital city, Hanoii and another city, Hoh Chi Minh. I recommend for these 2 cities. The costs are so fine here even for hotels. There are rates from 25 dollars to 150 dollars about. I advice Asean International hotel if you want to stay in the West Lake Area or Daewoo or Hanoi Horison hotels if you want to stay in the Hanoii Center.

I'm headed to vietnam too, beginning of next month. Everytime I get a bit of free time at work I pick over the stuff at www.virtualtourist.com daily. Look up vietnam.
Advice from people who have been. There's a forum too. Answers are slow but more informed than here.

visit the parks that have fruit trees. just pay like 25 cents and you can eat as many as you want but cant take ne home
